About us

USIT is Ireland's leading travel companies specialising in a range of Work, Teach & Volunteer programmes abroad with its headquarters in Aston Quay, Dublin. There are about 80 staff working for USIT at present. There are 8 retail travel units: 7 in the Republic of Ireland and 1 in Sydney, Australia.

USIT Ireland Ltd is bonded and licensed by the Irish Government as a travel agent (license no. TA237) and as a tour operator (license no. TO660). The bond lodged with the Irish Government provides for the reimbursement to clients of monies paid to a travel agent or tour operator in the event of the failure of that agent/operator.

USIT (NI) Ltd is a member of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) in the UK (ABTA no. N0626). ABTA provides a number of consumer protection services for clients of member agencies, for more details, please visit the ABTA web-site at http://www.abta.com/.

Aston Quay

Aston Quay, Dublin is our flagship store with 30 sales staff working in the main travel shop and 20 staff working in our call centre. The USIT marketing, work exchange programmes and product development teams are also based at Aston Quay.

USIT's product range

In addition to the full range of products offered by any Irish travel agent, we have developed a unique range of products specifically for student and youth travellers, including low cost flexible fares, work, travel & volunteer programmes (including the popular J1 US Student Visa Programme), tailor-made insurance policies, budget accommodation, TEFL and much, much more. USIT is also a specialist in student and youth work exchange programmes, offering all the information, administration and support needed to work around the world.

Apart from our student and youth travellers, USIT is the market leader in tailor-made worldwide holidays for our NON Student / Youth travellers. Specialising in Indepenent travel ranging from Base Camp Mount Everest to getting up close and personalwith the gorillas while trekking through Uganda. We also have very competitive flights / transfers/ accomadation and insurance for our non Students / Youth travellers.

Staff Training

USIT is committed to providing structured training programmes for all staff. It is our priority to provide staff with the skills they need to carry out their job and to develop within the organisation in Ireland and overseas.

We have one in-house trainer and a fully equipped training room in Aston Quay catering for up to 17 trainees. We assess training needs annually and deliver training courses in a variety of areas and at various levels.

Our staff training includes travel - after all, it's what we do best! We rely on well-travelled staff and facilitate first hand experience of our key products and destinations.
