Montpellier is the capital of the Languedoc - Roussillon region in the south of France, with a population of 240,000 - some 25% of which are students. This lively University city with its infectious atmosphere and year-round sunshine has something to offer all tastes such as a beautiful and historic old town with trendy shops and open-air cafs and not forgetting the sandy beaches and warm waters of the Mediterranean just 8 km away. The well established all-year-round LSF school for adult students (18+) is situated right in the heart of Montpellier. A 2-minute walk from Place de la Comdie through the narrow winding streets of the old town brings you to the 17th century town house where the school is located on the first floor. The school has a reception area, 6 classrooms, a staff-room, a local information centre with coffee-vending machine and a roof-terrace.

About the schoolAbout the school

GLS has 3 floors with 20 classrooms in a refurbished commercial building in the Berlin district of Schoeneberg. Marlene Dietrich lived in a house across the street, and till today multicultural Schoeneberg is one of the citys most popular districts. You can join our German courses for adults (age 16 and older) any Monday all year round.

About the courses

All courses build on the 4 fundamentals: oral comprehension, writing, reading and speaking. Free class discussions, role-playing and conversation help develop verbal expression, vocabulary and good sentence structure. Grammar is not studied in isolation, rather it is packed in informative and stimulating texts that provide valuable cultural, political and historical background. Some topics covered include: relationships, social life, jobs and labour, history of Berlin, cultural identity.

Work Experience

Choose any of the above of minimum 4 weeks and placement fee of 450. (Minimum intermediate German required to start placement).

Florence

Home of classical Italian and of Renaissance, is situated in the heart of Tuscany and it is the centre of a magnificent history and culture. The Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is situated in the Heart of the Old City of Florence near Piazza del Duomo. From here you can reach the most famous squares and sights in a few minutes' walk.

Rome

Rome is one of the most beautiful cities of the world and features more than 2600 years of European history and culture. The Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is located in a typical aristocratic house in the centre of the Old City and only a short distance from the Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona.

Siena

Surrounded by the olive groves and vineyards of Chianti, Siena lies on three hills in the middle of Tuscany.The Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is located three minutes' walk from Piazza del Campo in the historical centre of Siena. There is a large sunny terrace for student use.

Milan

Milan is the second biggest town in Italy. Unfairly considered of minor importance in the historical and artistic field. Milan is the city where ancient times meet the modern age. The Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is located inside a student campus in the Navigli zone, full of artists, bars and cafes.

Practical Information

  • Accommodation only for don Quijote Students.
  • Shared double room: if you reserve a double room and there is not another student with which to share, don Quijote reserves the right to change your room at any time.
  • When changing city, country or type of lodging, the '1st week' price will be applied again and not the 'extra week' price (only weeks in the same city will be considered as extra weeks).
  • Your accommodation will be available the Sunday before starting the course from midday onwards. You must leave it for the new students on the Saturday following the end of the course before midday.
  • The residences have a limited number of places available.
  • Laundry service in Home Stay per person/week: 13 (Spain).
  • Administration costs for each change in accommodation before and after arrival: 33 (Spain).

Locations

Barcelona

In a privileged position on the north-eastern coast of the Iberian peninsula and the shores of the Mediterranean, Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain in both size and population. It is also the capital of Catatonia.

Granada

Granada is the capital of the province with the same name, situated in the eastern part of the region of Andalusia. Geographical and scenic diversity characterizes the land. The city of Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Madrid

The capital of Spain, located in the heart of the peninsula and right in the centre of the Castillian plain 646 meters above sea level, has a population of over three million. Madrid is characterized by intense cultural and artistic activity and a very lively nightlife.

Salamanca

The province of Salamanca situated in the South-west corner of Castile & Len on the borders with Extremadura and Portugal, covers an area of 12,336 sq. km. The city is large enough to be able to offer the advantages of a real city, but at the same time it keeps the intimacy of a village.

Seville

Seville is located in the Southeast of Spain. A provincial capital, seat of the government and parliament of the Comunidad Autnoma de Seville (Regional Government). It has more than 700,000 inhabitants, nearly half the population of the whole province.

Tenerife

The capital of Tenerife is the second most populated city of the Canary Islands with more than 200,000 inhabitants. Its present importance comes from the development of its port and its commercial calling which made it progressively absorb the civic.

Valencia

With 10,763km, 263 towns and villages and 2,154,322 inhabitants, the Province of Valencia is the largest of the three which together with Castellon in the North and Alicante in the South used to belong to the former Kingdom of Valencia.

Guanajuato

Guanajuato is the ideal spot in Mexico to study Spanish, being a small and quiet university city, and far from the tourist cities such as Cancn. Declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO, you will be charmed by its wealth in architecture and culture.
