Marketing & Promotion Executive:

Usit Ireland, Irelands' leading specialist in exchange and volunteer programmes worldwide, seeks a dynamic individual to develop and promote our range of Volunteer Placement opportunities. We work with genuine Volunteer projects worldwide offering participants the chance to contribute in a meaningful way and support local sustainable business' in underprivileged communities.

The role requires:

  • Developing and Creating new target markets
  • 3rd Party co-operations with Academic Institutions, Corporate Bodies
  • All promotion and marketing in relation to this department both above the line and below in addition to
  • Presenting the placement opportunities to large groups of people.

 

The following criteria are key to the role:

  • An ability to negotiate at senior level
  • An excellent communicator and presenter
  • A lateral thinker who can always find new ways of approaching a target/end result
  • Experience of On line marketing
  • Driven with high energy levels
  • A genuine interest and belief in Volunteering
  • Full Clean Driving License

 

Education Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level (preferably in Business/Marketing)

Travel Brand Promoters - College Campuses:

Positions available in all colleges for the academic year of 08/09

Calling all enthusiastic and energetic students!
Have you a keen interest in Travel? Why not get involved with Irelands leading Student and Youth Travel Company? Working a few hours each week this opportunity will enable you to build your CV, gain valuable work experience in marketing, promotions and the travel industry whilst earning travel vouchers redeemable in any USIT nation-wide. We are looking for a number of people to fill positions in colleges all over Ireland

The purpose of the position:

Act as the USIT point of contact on campus whilst increasing the profile and awareness of USIT products, ISIC, J1, language programmes, work and travel programmes and other services to students and staff.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Increase awareness of USIT products and services during the college year, through ongoing promotions via postering and leaflet distribution on and off campus.
  • Assistance at road shows and promotions on campus: ISIC, J1, Work and Travel. /li>
  • Identify key events in your college for USIT to attend and/or sponsor.
  • Represent USIT on campus at such events.
  • Build relationships with Student Unions, career guidance counsellors, language and other college departments.
  • Generate ideas for promoting USIT products and services on your campus.
  • Ensure regular feedback to the Marketing Dept, through the completion of bi- monthly reports.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A keen interest in travel and/marketing.
  • Participated on a USIT work and travel programme e.g. J1/ Work in Canada/Volunteer/ Summer in Europe.
  • Previous promotional experience.
  • An approachable, outgoing, enthusiastic and energetic outlook.
  • Willingness to assist in various promotions throughout the academic year.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Ample time to dedicate to fulfilling the tasks above.
  • Keen eye for detail.

Payment:

Payment is made in the form of travel vouchers redeemable in any of our offices nation-wide for any USIT product. Full product training will be provided.
