What is included?

• Transfer from Cape Town International Airport
• Placement in a suitable project and with a Host Family/Volunteer House
• Placement inventory information prior to arrival in South Africa
• Dormitory accommodation for 1 night during Orientation
• Transfer to Orientation
• Orientation Programme, including Welcome Session and Orientation Session
• Transportation to Host Family/Volunteer House after Orientation
• Meals and accommodation at Host Family/Volunteer House
• The full support of the partner organisation, while on the project. Access to Email and the Internet as well as mail-holding facilities and message-taking service, notice boards, and staff to deal with queries.

Details of tasks

Our Educational projects vary from pre-primary creches to primary and secondary schools. Our volunteers provide valuable assistance in community schooling initiatives or work in the public school sector and offer alleviation to the staff who work with extremely high pupil-teacher ratios. Volunteers often give the learners precious one on one tuition providing help which they would typically not have access to from their own stretched teachers
