Explore China's former capital and terminus of the Silk Road. Cycle the ancient city walls and discover the Muslim Quarter.
Xi'an is one of many cities that was once capital of the great Chinese empire. Gather for an orientation walk exploring the inner city, which is surrounded by 14km (9 mi) of ancient city walls. Weather permitting, visit these walls by bike during our time in Xi'an.
In the evening, explore the Muslim Quarter, with its Great Mosque, multicultural feel, shopping lanes, and street food stalls selling a large variety of food, including naan, kebabs, and lots of sweets.
Enjoy a CEO-led orientation walk close to the Xi'an hotel to help you get the lay of the land. Learn where you can find local services (like ATMs and laundromats) and, perhaps, see some city highlights. Every CEO does something slightly different for their orientation walk to show visitors what they like best about the city.
Big Goose Pagoda Visit
Head to the outskirts of the city to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a beautiful, brick Buddhist temple. Check out the Music Fountain Square at the base of the leaning pagoda at night to see an amazing light show.
