Day 1 Dubrovnik / Cavtat

Arrive in time for a 4pm welcome meeting and safety briefing. Spend the night in Croatian waters.

Please try to arrive at the meeting point before 4pm for an important group meeting where you can meet the Chief Experience Officer (CEO), skipper, and the other group members. The boat will be departing at 5pm.

On the Montenegro sailing trips, the G Adventures skipper will offer to make a food kitty for small items, such as ice, water, coffee, tea, milk, snacks, drinks, and so on. The average amount suggested for the kitty is around EUR50 per person, per week.

Sailing Welcome Meeting

Welcome aboard! Before setting sail meet the skipper and the rest of the group at a welcome meeting. Your skipper should be easy to spot in a G Adventures shirt or with a G Adventures flag at the skipper table.

Day 2 Cavtat / Herceg Novi

Spend a full day sailing south to Herceg Novi, Montenegro. The best beaches in this scenic area are only accessible by boat.

Herceg Novi Beach Visit

If relaxing is your style, the beaches of Herceg Novi offer a great escape. There are also local mud therapy spas nearby, so test out the natural healing properties of the area's sand if you like.

Day 3 Herceg Novi / Budva

Sail to the Budva Riviera. Explore some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, nestled beneath the cliffs of Spas Hill. Well-known as the regional capital of nightlife, there no shortage of clubs along the seaside promenade.

Soak up the sun on the many picturesque rocky and sandy beaches of Budva, or explore the Old Town filled with history and monuments.

In the evening take your pick of the many bars and restaurants along the Riviera and enjoy a drink watching the sunset over the crystal blue waters.

Budva Riviera Visit

With a 35km (22 mi) coast, the Budva Riviera is among the most beautiful coasts in the world. Take some time to unwind and explore the many rocky and sandy beaches, including Mogren beach nestled beneath the cliffs of Spa Hills.

Day 4 Budva / Bigovo

Enjoy a day for snorkelling and swimming in the crystal-clear waters near the village of Bigovo. Enjoy the feel of this ancient fishing village.

Day 5 Bigovo / Kotor

Continue sailing to the ancient Mediterranean port of Kotor. Part of a World Heritage Site, enjoy the limestone cliffs overhanging this submerged river canyon.

Kotor City Exploration

Take some time to explore this picturesque town surrounded by a walled fortress built by the Republic of Venice. Kotor has a Mediterranean feel to it and the bay offers a stunning backdrop for photographs.

Day 6 Kotor / Tivat

Enjoy the town of Tivat. Opt to visit the city, the botanical gardens or a number of monuments. or just continue relaxing on its gorgeous sandy beaches.

    Marvel in Tivat's botanical gardens. All the plants and tree species planted in the garden were gifts from Bokan sailors who brought back a wide variety of exotic species from their overseas voyages.

  • Buća-Luković Museum & Gallery

    Get up close and personal to this former aristocratic summer residence once belonging to Kotor's Bua family. The 500-year-old fortified enclosure comes with it's own Catholic chapel, solid stone defensive towers and a gallery and ethnographical museum with fishing and farming artifacts.

Day 7 Tivat / Dubrovnik

Sail back to Dubrovnik and stop by the dramatic city walls for a photo op.

Dubrovnik City Wall Walk

Opt to take a walking tour or head out on your own to explore the city's ancient walls. A trip to Dubrovnik isn't complete without doing this 2km (1.1 mi) walk. See highlights along the way that include Fort Minceta, Fort St. John, Fort Lawrence, Fort Revelin, and St. Luke’s Tower. There are three main entrances to the city walls, the principal one located by the Inner Pile Gates.

Day 8 Dubrovnik / Adriatic Sea

Free morning to explore Dubrovnik. Enjoy a nightcap with new crew mates on the boat and get to know fellow passengers.

Spend the morning exploring Dubrovnik and meet back at 4pm for an important group meeting with your new Chief Experience Officer (CEO), skipper, and the other group members. The boat will be departing soon after the arrival meeting.

As this is a combination tour, some of your "crew" may depart today and you will be joined by some new travelling companions, and possibly a new CEO in the afternoon. You may also be required to change cabins or boats, but your CEO will instruct you on the day.

Opt to hike through the national park in Mljet that inspired Odysseus for years or kayak through gorgeous inlets and explore Korčula. Anchor in the quiet bay of Milna, Hvar, and opt to experience the vibrant night life on land. Explore the beaches as the tide comes in and shifts their shape. Enjoy free time to explore the Mediterranean port town of Dubrovnik. The city boasts plenty of churches, monasteries, fountains, and plazas to discover.

Day 14 Adriatic Sea / Split

Weigh anchor early morning for the last passage to Split. Before crossing the Brač Channel, find a picturesque inlet to enjoy lunch before entering Split harbour. Enjoy the last night aboard, or join the rest of the group for dinner and drinks while reminiscing about the epic journey through the Adriatic Sea.

Explore the nightlight of one of the oldest cities in Croatia. Wonder the city streets and marvel at the Roman walls, squares, and temples. Discover the neighbourhood of Varoš, one of the oldest parts of town, which boasts charming houses.

Depart after breakfast. If you would like extra time in Split after the sailing journey is finished, we recommend booking extra time.
