Lumbini is considered the “birthplace of Buddha.” This historical site offers a chance to learn and study Buddhism in a colorful and aesthetically pleasing environment.

An absolute must-see and do while in Nepal, the Everest Base Camp trek will give you beautiful view of the mountains and surrounding forests. In addition, you’ll be able to stop at Sherpa villages and enjoy some of the amazing tea houses along the way.

The Annapurna Circuit

The Annapurna Circuit is located in central Nepal. This trek is perfect for backpackers interested in experiencing terrific local food and amazing views. Bhaktapur, Kathmandu Valley

A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Kathmandu Valley includes a variety of temples including a Hindu Temple. Though a 2015 earthquake destroyed part of the traditional temples and religious centers from the medieval days, several temples still remain and are open to tourists.

The Karnali River

For those of you interested in extreme sports, then Nepal is the perfect place to go. Offering the world’s most extreme zipline, Nepal’s Karnali River also gives tourists a chance to whitewater raft down Nepal’s longest river!
